Work on Mitsubishi heat pumps in the Adirondacks

Adirondack Heat Pumps is a veteran-owned Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor ELITE based at 15 Montcalm Street in Ticonderoga, with a sister shop, Superior CO-OP HVAC, in Cambridge. We hire installers, service technicians, comfort consultants and office staff who want year-round work in the North Country and factory training on the best cold-climate equipment made. Experienced people are welcome; we also train the right person.

Roles we hire for

Four kinds of people make a heat pump company work

We do not always have every role open. Send a résumé anyway; we keep good applications on file and call when something opens.

Mitsubishi Install Technician

Install ductless, multi-zone and ducted Hyper-Heat systems to our written standard: load-calculated sizing, line sets flared and tested, condenser on a stand over a gravel pad, clean line-hide. Experienced HVAC installers, licensed electricians and strong install helpers who want to become lead installers.

Service Technician

Diagnose and repair Mitsubishi heat pumps plus RUUD furnaces, boilers and central air. Refrigeration experience and an EPA 608 card are a big plus; Mitsubishi factory training is provided. No-heat calls in January are part of the job, and so is the priority service our care plan customers pay for.

Comfort Consultant (Sales)

Meet homeowners from Ticonderoga to Lake Placid, measure the house, run the load calculation, explain NYS Clean Heat rebates and financing, and deliver a written price. Building-trades or HVAC background helps; honesty and follow-through matter more.

Office & Customer Support

Answer the phone, schedule estimates and service, handle rebate paperwork and warranty registration, and keep customers informed. Mitsubishi Customer Support certification training provided.

Why work here

Specialists, not generalists, in a place worth living

  • Veteran-owned. Owner Gerald Davis is a Navy veteran; the operations manager and the sales manager are Army and retired military veterans. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
  • Mitsubishi factory training. We are a Diamond Contractor ELITE, graded every year, and training is how we keep it. Our technicians and consultants earn Mitsubishi certifications on the company's time.
  • Year-round work. Heat pumps are installed in every month and serviced in every season. Add RUUD furnaces, boilers, water heaters and central air and the schedule does not go quiet in February or July.
  • One product line, done right. Installing one brand of heat pump to one written standard means you get very good at it, and the callbacks that make a service tech's life miserable mostly do not happen.
  • The North Country. Work in Ticonderoga, on Lake Champlain, in the High Peaks. Two shops, Ticonderoga and Cambridge, so nobody commutes two hours.
  • Employees, not subcontractors. Our crews work for us. The people in our Google reviews, Mark, Josh, Matt, Rollin, are named because customers know who they are.

Questions people ask

Before you apply

Do I need HVAC experience?

Not for every role. Experienced installers, service technicians and electricians move fastest, but we have trained install helpers into lead installers and people from other customer-facing jobs into office and consultant roles. Tell us what you have done; we will tell you honestly where you would fit.

Where would I work?

Most Adirondack Heat Pumps jobs are based in Ticonderoga and cover Essex, Clinton, Franklin and northern Warren Counties plus Addison County, Vermont. Cambridge-based roles are posted by our sister company, Superior CO-OP HVAC.

Is the work seasonal?

No. Heat pump installs run all year, heating service peaks in winter, cooling and water heater work fills the summer, and maintenance visits happen in between.

What is the Mitsubishi training like?

Factory courses on Hyper-Heating INVERTER technology, installation, diagnostics and the indoor unit lineup, leading to Mitsubishi certifications for installers, service technicians, consultants and support staff. We pay for it.

Think you would fit?

Send a résumé or just call. We would rather hear from you than not.

★★★★★

“This is our second Mitsubishi heat pump … to heat the 30x40 insulated metal building with a single head we put up but handles it great. … they had to order and install the system in a little over 2 weeks to get it done by 12/31 to qualify for a large rebate and they got it done.”
