When the repair isn't worth it
Multiply the system's age by the repair quote. Under $5,000, fix it. Over $5,000, the money is usually better spent on a new system. Two cases push toward replacement faster in our area: a central AC that still runs on R-22, where a leak repair means increasingly scarce refrigerant, and a condenser past 15 years that has needed service two summers running. We'll give you the repair number and the replacement number, and if the replacement is a Mitsubishi heat pump that also heats the house, we'll show what the rebates do to it.

How much does AC repair cost?
It depends on the fault. A capacitor, a refrigerant leak and a compressor are priced very differently, so we diagnose first and give you a firm price before any repair work begins. There's a trip and diagnostic charge for non-plan customers, quoted when you book.
How fast can you get a technician out?

Do you repair ductless and mini-split systems, not just central air?
Yes. We're a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor ELITE, our technicians are Mitsubishi-certified, and we also repair other-brand ductless systems.
My AC is frozen. What do I do?
Turn the cooling off and run the fan only so the ice melts, check the filter, and call us. Running it iced up can damage the compressor.
My central AC uses R-22. Can it still be repaired?
Sometimes, but R-22 is out of production and expensive, so a leak repair on an old system is often money better put toward replacement. We'll give you both numbers.
