Online Estimates for Heat Pumps and HVAC in the North Country
You can get a preliminary estimate from Adirondack Heat Pumps without a visit, two ways: run the savings calculator for an operating-cost and price range (and $250 off), or send the form below with a few photos for a preliminary range on a heat pump, furnace or boiler replacement. We reach out within one business day. Final pricing on a heating system always follows an in-home load calculation. Phone answered 24/7 at (518) 812-1958.

Two online paths
Path 1 — The savings calculator
Enter your home's size, what you heat with now and roughly what you spend. The calculator estimates what a Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat system would cost to run in your house, compares it to oil, propane or electric baseboard, and generates a $250-off code for your estimate. Takes a few minutes.
Calculate my savings →Path 2 — Photo-based preliminary estimate
Send the form with your property type, approximate size, current heating system and ZIP code, plus photos of the rooms you want conditioned, the outside wall where an outdoor unit could go and your existing equipment. We reply with a preliminary range and the likely equipment.
Send the form →Request a preliminary estimate
Tell us about the property and attach photos if you can. We reach out within one business day.
What makes an online estimate accurate
- Property type — single-family, camp, multi-family or commercial — and ZIP code (tells us NYSEG vs. National Grid vs. Vermont)
- Approximate square footage and number of rooms you want heated or cooled
- Current system: oil, propane, electric baseboard, an older heat pump, or nothing
- Photos of the main living area, bedrooms, the outside wall nearest the electrical panel, and the existing furnace or boiler
- Timing: system down now, within 30 days, 1–3 months, or just pricing

When an in-home visit is required
A heat pump is sized to a house, not to a square-footage table. The load calculation accounts for insulation, windows, air leakage, orientation and the -10°F to -25°F design temperatures across our area. A camp on Schroon Lake and a 1900 village house in Port Henry with the same square footage can need very different systems. Oversize it and it short-cycles and leaves rooms clammy; undersize it and it cannot keep up on the coldest night.
The visit also settles the things photos cannot: where line sets run, where the outdoor unit sits above the snow line, the electrical panel's capacity, and whether a ducted air handler or a ceiling cassette makes more sense than wall units. For those reasons, every heating-system price we put in writing follows an in-home load calculation. Repairs, maintenance and some like-for-like equipment swaps can often be priced from the online form alone.

Online estimate questions
How accurate is an online estimate?
It is a range based on your property type, size, current system and location — good enough to know whether the project fits your budget. Final pricing is confirmed after the in-home load calculation and can move up or down from the range.
Do I have to attach photos?
No, but they help a lot. A photo of the room, the outside wall and the existing equipment lets us narrow the range and often tells us the right indoor unit style before we visit.
Is the $250 calculator offer separate from the rebate?
Yes. The $250 comes off our invoice in addition to any NYS Clean Heat or Efficiency Vermont rebate. Run the calculator before your estimate and bring the code.
Can I get an online estimate for a repair?
Often, yes — describe the symptom and the equipment and we give you the diagnostic fee and likely repair range. For a system that is down, use schedule a repair or call so we can get you on the board faster.
★★★★★“We had Mark, Rolland, and Matt help get mini splits installed in our first home. They worked with us to make sure we had the right system for our home. This team provided amazing professionalism, customer service, and expertise!”
★★★★★“Been doing business with Gerry and his crew for close to 10 years and always totally satisfied with their product and customer service.”
★★★★★“This is our second Mitsubishi heat pump … to heat the 30x40 insulated metal building with a single head we put up but handles it great. … they had to order and install the system in a little over 2 weeks to get it done by 12/31 to qualify for a large rebate and they got it done.”
