Monthly Service Contracts for Mitsubishi Heat Pumps
A monthly service contract spreads the cost of the maintenance Mitsubishi Electric requires across the year, puts you at the front of the line in a cold snap, and — on the Elite plan — makes covered repairs $0. Available on every Mitsubishi system Adirondack Heat Pumps has installed from Ticonderoga to Lake Placid and across the lake in Addison County, Vermont.
- We schedule the visits
- Keeps your Mitsubishi warranty valid
- Priority scheduling

Manufacturers require maintenance. Most homeowners forget it.
Mitsubishi Electric, like every HVAC manufacturer, requires regular documented maintenance to keep its parts warranty in force. Skip it and a compressor claim in year six can be denied. Our service contracts exist to take that off your list: we schedule the visit, we do the work, we keep the record.
Is an annual inspection worth it on a system that seems fine? Yes. You would not skip oil changes on a truck you plan to keep 15 years. A heat pump in the North Country runs more hours a year than almost any other appliance you own, through -20°F nights and 90°F afternoons. Dirty coils alone cost 20–30% of capacity, and the small things a technician catches in October are the ones that become no-heat calls in January.
Our visits are not a glance and a filter. Every outdoor unit gets a coil jet wash; every indoor unit gets its fan wheel and coil cleaned and its drain checked.

Preferred or Elite — both for Mitsubishi systems we installed

- Repairs billed at parts and labor
Adirondack Shield Elite Care Plan

- Bi-annual maintenance included

Not sure which fits? Call (518) 812-1958 with the number of indoor and outdoor units and we price both on the spot. Systems we did not install are serviced at per-visit prices.
What we do on a Mitsubishi contract visit
Mitsubishi condenser (outdoor unit)
- Inspect, clean and service the condenser
- Level the condenser on its pad or stand (if possible)
- Check all high- and low-voltage wiring
- Inspect the contactor, capacitor, compressor, coil, fan blade, fan motor and refrigerant charge
- Inspect the line set and insulation (replacement extra)
- Check the disconnect box and operating performance against Mitsubishi specifications
- Coil jet wash for a professional coil cleaning
Mitsubishi evaporator (indoor unit)
- Inspect, clean and service each wall, floor, cassette or ducted air handler
- Confirm the unit is level and secure
- Check all low-voltage and control wiring
- Coil jet with built-in compressor to wash the coil and fan wheel
- Inspect the fan, condensate pan and drain line for blockage
- Fresh batteries in the remote control
Between visits, keep 18 inches clear around the outdoor unit, brush snow off the top, and rinse the indoor filters monthly. If something looks wrong, the heat pump troubleshooter walks you through it, or schedule a repair.

Service contract questions
Can I put a Mitsubishi system another company installed on a contract?
Not on the Preferred or Elite contracts — those are limited to systems we installed so we can stand behind the work. We service other Mitsubishi systems, and other brands, at our published per-visit prices.
What is the difference between Preferred and Elite?
Preferred covers the annual maintenance visit, priority scheduling and no trip charge on repairs; parts and labor on a repair are billed. Elite (the Adirondack Shield) covers two visits a year and makes covered mechanical repairs $0, including labor, trip and refrigerant, for 12 years with annual renewal.
Does a contract keep my Mitsubishi warranty valid?
Yes. Both contracts include the documented annual service Mitsubishi requires, and we keep the records on file so a parts claim never fails for lack of maintenance history.
Can I cancel?
Contracts are 12-month agreements that renew annually. You can cancel with 30 days' written notice; Elite labor and refrigerant coverage ends on the final payment date.

★★★★★“We had Mark, Rolland, and Matt help get mini splits installed in our first home. They worked with us to make sure we had the right system for our home. This team provided amazing professionalism, customer service, and expertise!”
★★★★★“Been doing business with Gerry and his crew for close to 10 years and always totally satisfied with their product and customer service.”
★★★★★“This is our second Mitsubishi heat pump … to heat the 30x40 insulated metal building with a single head we put up but handles it great. … they had to order and install the system in a little over 2 weeks to get it done by 12/31 to qualify for a large rebate and they got it done.”
