What Our Free In-Home Heat Pump Estimate Includes
A heat pump quote is only worth what went into it. Our estimate is a free visit from a Mitsubishi-certified comfort consultant who measures your home, runs a room-by-room load calculation for your town's design temperature, designs the zones with you, and leaves you an itemized written price with NYS Clean Heat or Efficiency Vermont rebates already applied — plus financing, warranty and the install schedule in plain words. No phone-number guesses, no pressure, and no obligation. We serve Ticonderoga, Essex, Clinton and Franklin counties, northern Warren County and Addison County, Vermont.
- Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor ELITE
- 12-year parts & labor warranty
- 180-Day Comfort Guarantee
- Veteran-owned · Ticonderoga, NY
Nine things you get from a free estimate
- A walk-through of every room with you, starting with the rooms that are never comfortable.
- A room-by-room load calculation — measurements, insulation, windows, orientation, air leakage — against your design temperature, about -10°F in Ticonderoga and colder in the High Peaks.
- A fuel-bill reality check. We compare the calculated load with what you actually burned last winter so the sizing is grounded in your house, not a model.
- A zone design — which rooms get which indoor unit style, where the outdoor unit goes, how line sets route, what the panel needs.
- The right equipment — Hyper-Heat outdoor units for any zone carrying winter heat, sized with margin, not oversized.
- An itemized written price that includes the stand or bracket, drain pan heater, surge protection, line hide, nitrogen test, vacuum, weighed charge, commissioning and app setup.
- Rebates applied — your NYS Clean Heat (NYSEG or National Grid) or Efficiency Vermont amount confirmed and subtracted, with the tier explained.
- Financing options — 18 months at 0% through Synchrony for qualified buyers, with the monthly figure next to your fuel cost.
- Warranty and schedule — 12-year parts and labor, the 180-Day Comfort Guarantee, and realistic install dates.

In-home estimate vs. phone quote vs. online price
| Our free in-home estimate | Phone or email quote | Online "supply-only" price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sizing basis | Room-by-room load calculation checked against fuel bills | Square footage or a guess | None — you pick |
| Cold-climate spec | Hyper-Heat for every heating zone | Often standard units to hit a price | Whatever's in stock |
| What's included | Stand, pan heater, surge, line hide, vacuum, weighed charge, commissioning, app, rebate filing | Unclear until install day | The box |
| Rebates | Confirmed and applied; we file | "You may qualify" | Usually not eligible |
| Warranty | 12-year parts & labor, 180-Day Comfort Guarantee | Varies; often 1-year labor | Voided without certified install |
| Price certainty | Itemized; the number is the number | Subject to change on site | Plus an installer you still have to find |
What's in the price so it doesn't show up later
When homeowners compare quotes, the gap usually isn't the equipment — it's what the cheaper quote left out and will add on install day. Our estimate already includes the items that commonly appear as extras elsewhere:
- Extra line-set length and wiring for second-floor or far-side rooms
- Multi-unit routing and a branch box where the design needs one
- Wall brackets or a raised stand over a crushed-stone pad
- Drain pan heater and surge protector on every outdoor unit
- Slim-duct line hide matched to your trim
- The dedicated circuit and disconnect; any panel upgrade is identified and priced before you sign
- Hard-access work — attics, crawlspaces, ladders on lakefront sites
- Decommissioning of the old oil or propane equipment when that's part of the plan
Ask any installer whether their quote is final and what could change it. Ours is final unless you change the scope.

What to have ready for your estimate
- Last winter's fuel use — oil or propane delivery slips, or your electric bills if you heat with baseboard. A year's worth is ideal; one winter is enough.
- Your list of problem rooms and what's wrong in each: too cold, too hot, too humid, too noisy. Our Home Comfort Diagnostic builds this for you in two minutes.
- Your calculator report if you ran the Cost Savings Calculator See It On Your Wall — it carries your $250 code.
- Access to the electrical panel, attic or basement, and the walls where indoor units might go.
- Your plans — a basement you'll finish, a sunroom you'll add, an EV charger — so we size with room to grow.
- Everyone who decides, if possible, so the design conversation happens once.
The visit takes about an hour for a single zone and up to two for a whole-home design. You'll usually have the written estimate the same day or the next business day.

After the estimate
There's no pressure at the table. Take the estimate home, compare it line by line with any other quote, and call with questions — our consultant can usually answer them the same day. When you're ready, we order equipment, schedule the install around your calendar and the heating season, file your rebate, and follow the same eight-step process on every job. Prefer to start online? Use the online estimate request or visit the showroom at 15 Montcalm Street in Ticonderoga, where live Mitsubishi units are running.
Questions about the free estimate
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. The in-home visit, load calculation, design and written price are free with no obligation anywhere in our service area, from Ticonderoga to Lake Placid, Plattsburgh and Addison County, Vermont.
Can you give me a ballpark over the phone?
We can tell you what drives the price and that single-zone systems start in the low five figures before rebates, but not a number for your house. Two homes with the same square footage can be thousands apart. The free visit is how we get it right.
How long does the estimate visit take?
About an hour for a single zone, up to two hours for a whole-home design. You'll usually have the written estimate the same day or the next business day.
Do I need to be home?
Yes — the design conversation is the most valuable part. We want to hear which rooms bother you and show you where units can go.
Will you look at my existing furnace or boiler?
Yes. We assess the existing system, discuss whether to keep it as backup or decommission it for the top rebate tier, and can quote RUUD equipment if a heat pump isn't the right fit this year.
How long is the estimate good for?
Your consultant will tell you how long the price is held when you receive it. Rebate programs change on their own schedules, so if a program deadline is approaching we'll tell you that too.
Rebates Available
North Country homeowners switching from oil, propane, wood or electric baseboard to a Mitsubishi cold-climate heat pump qualify for NYSEG or National Grid rebates through NYS Clean Heat, and Addison County, Vermont homes qualify through Efficiency Vermont plus utility bonuses. Rebate amounts change by program and tier — we tell you exactly what your home qualifies for at the free in-home estimate and handle the entire application for you.
★★★★★“We had Mark, Rolland, and Matt help get mini splits installed in our first home. They worked with us to make sure we had the right system for our home. This team provided amazing professionalism, customer service, and expertise!”
★★★★★“Been doing business with Gerry and his crew for close to 10 years and always totally satisfied with their product and customer service.”
★★★★★“This is our second Mitsubishi heat pump … to heat the 30x40 insulated metal building with a single head we put up but handles it great. … they had to order and install the system in a little over 2 weeks to get it done by 12/31 to qualify for a large rebate and they got it done.”
