Matt Neil

Matt Neil is an Install Technician for Adirondack Heat Pumps, working out of the Ticonderoga shop on Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat installations across Essex County and the Adirondacks. He is often the technician who finishes the job: setting and leveling the indoor units, completing the line-hide runs, commissioning the system and then sitting down with the homeowner to go through how it works.

That last part matters more than most people expect. A heat pump is not a furnace; it runs best left on at a steady setpoint, the filters need rinsing, and the app can do more than most owners realize. Matt walks customers through the remote or the MHK2 thermostat, the Mitsubishi Comfort app, filter cleaning and what to expect from defrost cycles in January, so the first winter is not a mystery.

Matt installs to the same standard as every Adirondack Heat Pumps crew: load-calculated sizing, condenser on a stand over a gravel pad, drain pan heater, surge protection, properly flared and tested line sets, and clean exterior runs. He is trained on Mitsubishi Electric installation and commissioning procedures.
