Josh Harris

Josh Harris is a Mitsubishi Certified Platinum Install Technician and one of the longest-serving people in the company. He started with Gerald around 2014, back when the company was a handful of people, and has watched it grow into two shops and a Diamond Contractor ELITE operation. Seeing how far it has come, he says, has been quite the experience.

Josh went to school for solar as a way to work in renewable energy, then realized he did not want to spend his career on roofs. Installing Mitsubishi heat pumps turned out to be even more fulfilling: the same clean-energy outcome, at ground level, in a different house every week.

His own promise to customers is simple: “If I am on your job I will do my best to make sure you are 100% satisfied.” Reviews say he keeps it. A 2024 Google reviewer called Josh and Matt “superb technicians and craftsmen who take great pride in the quality of their work, both from a functional and aesthetic point of view,” and added, “There is a reason that ADK Heat Pumps is a Diamond rated installer by Mitsubishi.” Another customer who bought a heat pump water heater wrote that Josh is “an excellent installer, very knowledgeable and nice to deal with.”

Platinum install certification from Mitsubishi Electric covers line-set fabrication, evacuation and charging, electrical, and commissioning of Hyper-Heating INVERTER systems. On a job, that means flares torqued to spec, a nitrogen test and a measured vacuum before any refrigerant goes in, and straight, sealed line-hide on the outside of the house.

On his time off Josh enjoys drumming, bonfires, gardening and his cats.

What Josh does for Adirondack Heat Pumps customers

Josh leads installs. He is the technician who turns a design on paper into a system on your wall, commissions it to Mitsubishi's checklist, and walks you through the remote and the app before he leaves.

Mitsubishi certification

Josh is a Mitsubishi Certified Platinum Install Technician. Adirondack Heat Pumps is a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor ELITE, graded every year to keep that status, and ongoing factory training for the whole team is part of what the grade is based on. It is also what lets us register the 12-year Mitsubishi parts warranty on every system we install.
