Glen Avlon

Glen Avlon joined the company in July 2020, moving from an all-around mechanical contractor focused on fossil-fuel heating systems to a company that sells and installs Mitsubishi heat pumps exclusively. He describes it as a decision he will never regret.

Glen has always been drawn to the building trades, and to heating and cooling in particular, because it is a trade that is vital to people's comfort and, in a North Country winter, to their safety. Providing a service people genuinely need while supporting his family is what he says he strives for.

As Operations Manager, Glen runs the day-to-day flow of work across both shops, Cambridge and Ticonderoga: scheduling crews, coordinating equipment and making sure every install is staged so the technicians arrive with everything they need. As a Mitsubishi Certified Platinum Comfort Consultant he also designs systems and meets with homeowners, and his years around oil and propane equipment make him especially good at explaining what changes when a house converts to a heat pump and what does not.

In his spare time Glen golfs in the summer and snowboards in the winter.

What Glen does for Adirondack Heat Pumps customers

Glen is the person making sure your install happens on the day it was promised, with the right equipment on the truck. On estimates, he is the one to ask hard questions about your existing furnace or boiler; he spent years installing that equipment and will tell you honestly whether a heat pump, a hybrid setup or a RUUD replacement is the right call.

Mitsubishi certification

Glen is a Mitsubishi Certified Platinum Comfort Consultant. Adirondack Heat Pumps is a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor ELITE, graded every year to keep that status, and ongoing factory training for the whole team is part of what the grade is based on. It is also what lets us register the 12-year Mitsubishi parts warranty on every system we install.
